Less Head = Less Stress
The more time you spend living life from the head the more stressful and intense life seems. Meeting life head on only, is being partly awake, partly present, we need to meet life head and heart on. We need to be embodied, or fully present in the body, so we can handle whatever life throws at us. The roots of our issues and the solutions to them are in the body, never in the head. In the head we can analyse them, talk about them and think about them but never fully resolve them. In fact using the head to try and fix ourselves is a real recipe for further stress and turmoil as all we are really doing is keeping the issue alive and active, frustrating ourselves by revisiting the problem and not actually going to where the problem is rooted in the body to feel for the answer to this issue.
The process for resolving any personal issue is very simple, but the act of doing it seems to be a significant challenge for many of us. Remembering that no body has the answers to our problems except our own body is important in helping and healing ourselves.
So listen to your body, be in it, live in and from it and always follow it.
